The UC Davis College of Engineering, joining colleges and universities across the country, will celebrate Engineers Week (E-Week) with an ambitious schedule of activities and programs that focus on engineering accomplishments.
Come meet your peer advisors at the Engineering Undergraduate Office. You can ask a peer about their favorite class or professor and provide you some insight on navigating through the College of Engineering!
Join the College of Engineering Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Board for a LinkedIn Workshop. Hear directly from engineering alumni about using LinkedIn as a networking tool, maximizing your LinkedIn profile and effectively connecting with UC Davis engineering alumni. After this in-person workshop, you will have a chance to sign up for virtual one-on-one sessions with alumni volunteers to review your LinkedIn profile and answer specific networking questions you may have.
Join the Materials Science and Engineering department for our Tea Time social with faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students. We'll provide hot water and tea! We encourage participants to bring a reusable mug, but disposable cups will also be available.
Join COFFEE and learn how to make your very own take-home circuit DIY craft! Learn how to make light-up origami flowers and cute desk decorations. All materials (and pizza) will be provided!
Celebrate E-Week with a not-so-average pizza party! This event is an opportunity for students and faculty to engage outside the classroom. Staff and other academics are also invited to this communitywide celebration of engineering.
Destress with the Chicanx and Latinx Engineers and Scientist Society (CALESS) and create a vision-board! We will have snacks and provide different materials to make a collage of your goals and aspirations for the quarter/year.
Bring a mug and join us for some tea at our E-Week event: Tea with SWE! Take some time to destress and relax as this is a fun social to drink a nice, hot cup of tea while meet other engineering students. Everyone is welcome!
A workshop for students to learn about the basics of car maintenance (such as checking air and fluids, changing a tire or oil), with the help of fleet services mechanics. And a follow-up discussion about our project and how EV maintenance is different (and likely easier)!
Join us on Zoom for our winter edition of Engineering on Tap. Learn how our faculty are working to stay ahead of the curve and secure our computer systems and communication networks from a software and hardware engineering perspective.
Come learn how to roast your own coffee at the coffee lab located at Everson Hall 126. Equipment will be provided by the lab, and you will learn how to take a coffee bean and produce your own black coffee. You will also be able to drink your own creation!
Join Cyclone RoboSub as we build an underwater base in Minecraft and relax with some boardgames. Learn a bit more about the team and enjoy some good company!
