Graduate Studies

Professional Development

The staff at the UC Davis Internship & Career Center (ICC) are well-trained professionals who care about supporting graduate students with all aspects of your career development and planning. Appointments are available to assist students with resume/CV review, coaching on networking, negotiation and more.

Aggie Compass Basic Needs Center

The Aggie Compass Basic Needs Center is a comfortable space for students to build community and learn about basic needs resources, pick up fresh fruits and vegetables, receive CalFresh enrollment assistance and help finding stable housing.

Academic Employment

UC Davis offers several types of academic employment opportunities for career development. Depending on the type of employment, you may have all or part of your fees paid as a benefit. Be sure to consult with your Graduate Program Coordinator about the different kinds of student teaching and research positions available to graduate students.

GradPathways Institute

The GradPathways Institute for Professional Development serves all UC Davis graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. GradPathways is designed to help graduate students and postdoctoral scholars succeed both at UC Davis and in their chosen career paths.

Advising and Coaching Support

Current and prospective students can meet with an advisor to discuss questions or concerns. Our advisors are a helpful resource for feedback, advice, general knowledge, networking or just someone to talk to.
