In this talk I will try to survey developments in automotive computer control systems during the past four decades, which incidentally and fortuitously coincided with my career in this exciting and challenging field.
Professor Jonathon Schofield (MAE) will give a seminar entitled "Bionic prosthetic limbs: Merging man and machine through engineering, neuroscience, and rehabilitation medicine"
Prof. Donald Margolis will give a Seminar entitled: Industrial Applications of Bond Graph Modeling. Bond graphs are a concise pictorial representation of all types of interacting dynamic systems.
Dr. Dan Negrut from University of Wisconsin-Madison will give a seminar entitled: Designing autonomous robots via simulation. How it goes, and why it doesn’t go far enough yet.
MAE 297 Seminar is designed to broaden technical and employment horizons of MAE graduate students. This time, Professor Mohsen Habibi will give a seminar on Direct Sound Printing.
Haithem Taha is currently an associate professor in MAE. He received a PhD degree from the Engineering Mechanics department at Virginia Tech simultaneously with an MSc degree in Mathematics.
