We are very pleased to invite you all to the Civil and Environmental Distinguished Lecture at 4:30pm on January 6th, 2025 - the first day of Winter quarter. The lecture will be held in the Alpha Gamma Rho room of the Buehler Alumni Center. The speaker is Professor Ben Schafer of Johns Hopkins University. Notably, Prof. Schafer is the current T.R. Higgins Lecturer of the American Institute of Steel Construction and will deliver the award lecture as our Distinguished Lecture. Ben is an exceptionally articulate and engaging speaker, who is able to interweave history, humor, and science to tell a compelling story.
